Omega Productions project receives GRAMMY® award

A project, on which Paul Christensen and his wife Donna Christensen recently worked, has been awarded a GRAMMY® by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences ®(NARAS®).

The award, which also represents Omega’s 20th GRAMMY® Nomination, was for “Best Contemporary Soul Gospel Album,” from a live concert recording 46TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS LOGO...and video project for Verity (Jive) Records, New York, featuring recording artist, Donnie McClurkin, titled …Again. The project was released as a CD and became the soundtrack for a Long Form Video and DVD, produced by the Christensens. LA based Le Mobile recorded the CD and soundtrack, which was engineered by Charlie Bouis. In addition to the award winning sound track, the video and DVD produced by the Christensens, has enjoyed a high ranking on the Billboard Video Charts and was also nominated for a Stellar Award for Best Music Video of 2003.

The GRAMMY® award was announced recently as part of the 46th Annual GRAMMY® Awards ceremony at the Staples Center DONNIE MCCLURKIN'S GRAMMY AWARD WINNING ALBUM - AGAIN...in Los Angeles and broadcast live in High Definition TV and 5.1 Surround Sound on the CBS Network. Each year the nominees and winners are chosen by their industry peers, the 20,000+ voting members of the Recording Academy®. Of the 20 GRAMMY® Nominations Omega projects have received over the company’s 30-year history, 14 of them have been received during the past 11 years.

The other 13 nominations spanning the last 11 years, were for a 2002 Verity Records video soundtrack and CD for Twinkie Clark , titled Twinkie Clark & Friends; a 2002 Commissioned video soundtrack and CD titled, The Commissioned Reunion Live; a 2001 Verity Records video soundtrack and CD for Hezekiah WalkerDONNIE PROJECT IS ALSO OMEGA'S 20TH NOMINATION...titled Family Affair; a 2001 Dorothy Norwood video soundtrack and CD for Malaco Records, titled, Ole Rickety Bridge; a 1999 Dottie Peoples project for AIR Gospel Records titled, God Can and God Will; a Malaco Records 1999 live recording and video with the Mississippi Mass Choir, titled, Emmanuel, God With Us ; a Fred Hammond project for Verity Records in 1998, titled, Pages of Life I and II; a 1997 live concert by Verity artist, Hezekiah Walker titled, Live in London; a 1996 Benson Records project with Hezekiah WalkerYolanda Adams and Fred Hammond; a Malaco Records recording of Rev. James Moore and the Mississippi Mass Choir in 1995; a Malaco project by Rev. Moore and a Warner Alliance live recording of O’Landa Draper, both in 1994; and a 1993 Blackberry Records soundtrack and video, featuring The Canton Spirituals.
