Omega Productions shoots live concert in LA for Donnie McClurkin DVD release

His debut CD for New York based Verity Records, titled, “Live in London and More” was a recent Gold Record certified runaway hit. He is slated to co-host the 2003 Stellar Awards in Atlanta with Mary Mary and Michelle Williams. He is a talented singer and songwriter with a gift for Praise and Worship. So when Paul and Donna Christensen were asked to produce Donnie McClurkin’s next long-form video, they jumped at the chance. Since this story was released: The project won a Grammy and Stellar Award. The Grammy is Omega’s second project Grammy award.

Donnie McClurkin is a gospel artist with the soul of Andraé Crouch and the contemporary flair of Kirk Franklin. This talented vocalist and songwriter recently performed a historic concert at the renowned West Angeles Church of God in Christ, where Bishop Charles E. Blake is the Senior Pastor… and Omega Productions award-winning team was on hand to capture all the action.

Performing before a crowd of more than 3,000, McClurkin was backed by a combination of the Donnie McClurkin Singers, West Angeles COGIC Mass Choir, a children’s choir, and of course the ever-talented McClurkin Band. The night’s electrifying performances were punctuated by solid, uplifting numbers… well-crafted songs composed and delivered by the talented McClurkin and those who shared the spectacular multi-level stage. It truly was a night to remember as praise was offered up among vibrant splashes of color delivered by a magnificent state-of-the-art computerized lighting system.

The Long-Form Video will be edited by Miami-based, Perry Trest, at Trest’s Post Digital AVID Suite.

Alliance Productions, Little Rock, teamed up with Calgary, Canada-based WIC Mobile to provide Remote Video Facilities, with the assistance of EIC Paul Kadanoga and Tech Bruce Elder. Remote Recording Facilities were provided by LA-based Le Mobile. Le Mobile’s Charlie Bouis engineered the live CD and soundtrack, assisted by Ian Charbonneau and Ted Barela.

Having the opportunity to produce the project at the well-known West Angeles COGIC, helped ensure its success. Bishop Charles E. Blake and his wife, Mae Lawrence Blake, provide the leadership for this Dynamic congregation. Earl Jordan serves as Chief of Administration, while Terriel Foster directs the Media Program, assisted by DeAndra Scudder. Facilities Engineer, Jon Randall, also deserves a special thanks for providing the timely technical support necessary for a complex project of this nature.

The Long-Form Video, DVD and Live CD are slated for a spring 2003 release.
